The Gilded Bee~GIveaway

Hello friends! We have a super giveaway this week, I'm sure you will love it! The Gilded Bee has donated a lovely packaging grab bag!

Please tell us a little about yourself and your shop.

My name is Sasha North. I’m 21. My Mum (Sherri) and I started “The Gilded Bee” a year and a half ago. I love fanciful paper creations, and love to make them. I was home-schooled, I live in the country, I garden, cook and bake, make clothes, hunt for vintage and flea market treasures, design and photograph.

 

What inspires you?

Inspiration can truly be found anywhere. I seek it. ;)

Nature, trees, insects, Plants and flowers, envelopes, crafters and bloggers, beautiful photographs, vintage, candies and sweets, postage stamps, paint chips, a basket full of markers and pencils, couture, fonts…etc.

 

Any advice for friends who are wanting to start their own shop?

I started mine for fun. ;) Etsy is a great venue for selling handmade. They’ve made it all very easy to work with. Take the best possible photographs that you can, practice a lot and learn the various settings of your camera (I’m still learning what mine can do). Work hard, love what you do, ask questions (I’ve found out how to set up so many things/learn skills by asking other sellers and bloggers how they do what they do so well).
