Garbo Interiors

Garbo Interiors have a fantastic furniture collection, inspired by the original antiques. I love their swedish gustavian style.
Clean and light element. The color is found in walpaper, fabrics, stripes, and floral print.
Vintage simple woven, linens, cottons, stripes, plaids. After white and grey, red is the color most often used in Garbo Interiors decorating. Red color coordinates easily with the other swedish color palette. If I could furnish a new home this would be the style.
A new look! How do you like my new banner and graphic? I love them!! A talented graphic designer friend of mine made it for me, and I couldn't be happier! If you like to contact him feel free to ask me his contact. He also designed my new button, feel free to grab it!

Bows

Luella did a great job in her last spring collection. I'm in love with the polka-dots...
Beautiful fabrics, adorable shapes, girly colors and pretty pumps. And what about the big bow in the hair? Isn't lovely?

Happy Birthday to me!

Yes, it's my birthday today! First of all, I’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who left me a message and wrote me birthday wishes.
Saturday night I celebrated it with some of my best friends. We spent the evening chatting, laughing, eating! My friends gave me so many beautiful gifts!
My birthday this year was particularly meaningful! This was my first time celebrating my birthday in my new home!

I really enjoyed setting my buffet table. Cakes, cheese, sandwich, fresh vegetables, etc...

Thank you to all my sweet friends who spent a very memorable evening with me.

Last week was also Francesca's birthday, she's one of my best friends, and we celebrated her B.day too!

What wish did I make on my birthday? Of course I can’t tell you! Hehehehe…

Fern & Flora ~ B-Day Giveaway

Photobucket
Girls tomorrow will be my birthday!!! Yeah!!! I'm 27 years old now...time passes quickly! My birthday celebrations started on Friday, with a wonderful lunch. Yesterday I had a fun party with my friends (I will show you some pics!) and tomorrow evening I will have a romantic dinner with my guy.

I thought it would be a great idea to celebrate it with a gorgeous new giveaway for all my lovely readers and follower from Fern and Flora.

Emily creates fantastic headbands, flower hair clips and she also dabble with paper with beautiful paper wreaths and vintage collages.

Could you tell us a little about yourself and your lovely shop?
I'm a floral designer by day with a background in interior design. I love to poke around flea markets and estate sales and look for treasures on the cheap. Once I began making headbands, the trips for vintage goodies became more frequent and that's one of my favorite parts about what I do. I decided to open an Etsy shop last summer to feature my headbands an paper wreaths. I love all things paper too and am contemplating starting a second Etsy shop with my paper wreaths, garlands, baby mobiles and things like that. Hopefully, that will happen one day soon!

How did you get started making your cute headbands?
I began making headbands when I decided to promove my floral design business throught some local boutiques and craft fairs but needed other items to sell also. I love vintage fabric and jewelry and thought making one-of-a-kind headbands with old elements would be an interesting creative endeavor. When people strated buying them, I was happily surprised and decided to open an Etsy shop. Etsy has been a lovely way to launch my headbands. I've met so many create and fabulous people.

Do you have any advice for friends who are starting their own shop?
For anyone who is contemplating opening a shop on etsy, my advice is simple: do it! My friend Betsy often says "nothing ventured nothing gained" and it's so true. When I opened my shop, it was a Saturday afternoon an I had been at a boutique all day and was feeling tired. I only had one image of one item, but I put it up anyway and slowly added more and more items. It's ok to take your time. Building any sort of business is a process and I remind myself of that every day. Also, I think it's important to spend time on Etsy looking at other shops, conversing with other sellers, making treasuries and getting involved in forums. It does tike time, but it's also rather fun and when you open your email and see that you've had a sale, it's a fabulous feeling.

The lucky winner of this giveaway will receive this beautiful headband!

Party Planning

Next Monday will be my B-Day and I'm planning my  birthday party! This Saturday evening I will have a dinner with some of my friends. I'm drawing up a list of my requirements and I'm working on this pretty project.

I have so many thing to do! Clean my house, set the table and the atmosphere, we are more than ten person so I have to prepare many things to eat. I will prepare three new salads cake that I want to try. My new birthday gift (from my grandma) will help me!...
Aren't these so cute? The project is soo simple but so pretty!

Preparing a perfect birthday party is probably more difficult than I thought. You need to do a lot of preparations like  deciding upon the best cuisine, and getting the invitation list ready.

And now it's the time to celebrate the winner of the gorgeous Petite Coterie Giveaway!
The winner is....

Mercury Glass

Anyone else love mercury glass candlesticks like me?? I have quite a few pieces, and I had decided to start my new collection.
Using silver in your accessorizing is an easy way to create a french atmosphere. Mercury glass vases, candlesticks, and other accessories can bring more light and charm to a dark corner of your home.

These pieces provide instant light and brightness. The other day I brought home two new additions to my ever growing mercury glass collection. I was in a little shop, looking for a birthday gift for a friend of mine, and I found them. Love at first sight. I love the old mercury glass, but the new, less expensive glass is pretty nice too!
