Love this total white! She has an amazing eye for details and I adore the clean whites, the splashes of colour, and the softness of this room.

Amo il total white! E devo dire che la ragazza del blog ha un occhio straordinario per i dettagli! Adoro questi bianchi puliti, i tocchi di colore qua e là e questa morbidezza che l'intera stanza mi trasmette.

The kitchen is delightfull. I like these pretty colors and all the vintage stuff she used.

Rustic Beauty

Friendship

I think there are levels of friendship. A friend can be little more than an acquaintance or a friend could be someone you are so close with that you share a lifelong bond.

Penso che esistano diversi livelli di amicizia. Un amico puo' essere poco più di un conoscente oppure puo' essere qualcuno talmente vicino a te da creare un legame solido e senza fine.

 A good friend is what everyone wants but what everyone does not always see.

~

Un buon amico è qualcosa che tutti quanti vogliamo, ma che non sempre siamo in grado di riconoscere.

 As in a love, in friendship could be crisis as well. The most important thing is to sit in front of your friend, and talk to her/him about it. Face to face. If you can't tell each other everything (and I mean everything), then it sounds like you have a wall between each other.

Come in amore, anche nell'amicizia possono esserci momenti di crisi. La cosa più importante è sedersi di fronte alla propria amica e parlarle della cosa. Faccia a faccia. Se non potete raccontarvi tutto l'una con l'altra (e intendo proprio tutto), allora è come se ci fosse un muro che vi separi.

 

To have a true friend is to be richer than a millionaire.  I'm definitely a multi-millionaire girl because I found it! :)

Avere un amica vera ti fa essere più ricca di una milionaria. Ed io sono quindi una ragazza plurimiliardaria perchè l'ho trovata! :)

Polaroids from a Girls' Night

I had a nice dinner yesterday evening at Gaia's home and I am here to share with you some polaroids of the lovely night.

Ieri sera sono stata a cena a casa di Gaia per una serata di sole donne, ed eccomi qui a condividere con voi qualche polaroid della piacevolissima serata.

Her pasta with pesto and tomatoes was delicious! Gaia is a great hostess and an excellent cook as usual!

I suoi gnocchi con pesto e pomodorini erano deliziosi! Gaia è come sempre un'ottima padrona di casa oltre che una bravissima cuoca!

Evening with friends is always a great opportunity for us to come together and share fine food and great company.

We certainly had a lot of fun!

A couple of months ago I finally managed to open my little Etsy shop, Picini&Co. Our product? The "Magic Beach Towel" (in "limited edition"): a multipurpouse summer must-have. :) This cute beach towel is ideal for bringing with you everywhere because it converts into a shoulder bag in 3 simple folding steps. Pretty AND practical: magic! Handmade with care in Italy by Picini&Co with beautiful fabric, for adults and kids.

Sono Susanna, Italiana e appassionata della "handmade community" e di design indipendente.
Un paio di mesi fa sono finalmente riuscita ad aprire il mio piccolo Etsy shop, Picini&Co. Il nostro prodotto? Il "Telo Magico" (in "edizione limitata"): accessorio immancabile e multi-uso per l'estate. :) Questo telo è ideale da portare con sé dappertutto perche si trasforma in una borsa in 3 semplici piegature. Bello e pratico: magico! E' fatto a mano in Italia da Picini&Co con la massima cura dei dettagli, in tanti bei tessuti, in misure da adulto e da bambino.

How did you get started?

Well I just wanted to try to build an Etsy shop myself, to understand how it really works: although it's just a small shop, made with love and care but just in the small free time available, I've learnt many things already and that's fun! I had so many ideas in my head in terms of products line, then I realized I knew what I wanted to try. Our family loves sea and beach life. We’ve had the idea of this special beach towel design years ago and we’ve been sewing these towels since then, for our family, as gifts for friends, for charity. We thought you might like them too and… here we are!

In effetti volevo proprio provare a creare un Etsy shop, per capire bene come funziona: anche se si tratta di un negozio piccolino (fatto con cura e con amore, ma solo nei ritagli di tempo e come hobby) ho imparato già tante cose ed è divertente! Per quanto riguarda il prodotto, avevo mille idee per la testa, poi mi sono resa conto che volevo provare con questo. La mia famiglia ama il mare e abbiamo avuto l'idea di questo telo diversi anni fa. Da allora ne abbiamo cuciti tanti, per noi, per gli amici, per beneficenza. Spero che piaccia anche a voi!

I'm graduated in Italian Literature but since several years I'm in a completely different field, working for a multinational company.
