E la camera da letto? Vogliamo parlarne?!? Assolutamnte perfetta nei colori e nelle sistemazioni. Questo mix di tonalità chiare, dal bianco al panna, rende la stanza calda, accogliente ed allo stesso tempo fresca e rilassata.

Dreaming of...A Bridal Shower

I am recently see myself dreaming about a girly and shabby inspired Bridal shower...there's me and all my sweet girls, with beautiful dresses, perfect hair&make-up, eating and having fun together!

I realized that my wedding it's not so far away...only 4 months (Oh My!)...actually, I am wondering what I could organized for my wedding shower.

Ultimamente guardo immagini di questo tipo ed inizio a sognare ad occhi aperti il mio ipotetico bridal shower...ci sono io con tutte le mie ragazze, indossiamo dei bei vestitini un po' fru fru, il  trucco e parrucco è perfetto , mangiamo e ci divertiamo!

Ho realizzato che al mio matrimonio mancano solo 4 mesi...mica tanto (oddio!)....e mi sono chiesta che cosa potrei fare per l'addio al nubilato...sarà meglio iniziare a pensare a qualcosa di carino!

It would be great to find a beautiful outdoor space like a beautiful garden or a park, where you can set up a table filled with yummy cakes and refreshing drinks. I can almost imagine the athmosfere...the problem is that until May, it's a bit cold outside and so, I need to wait Spring to start organizing something.
In the meantime I'm looking at these pictures in searching of inspirations!

L'ideale sarebbe trovare un bel luogo all'aperto, magari un bel prato o un giardino, dove poter allestire un bel tavolo pieno di delizie e bevande rinfrescanti. Già mi immagino l'atmosfera...

il problema è che fino a Maggio non farà tanto caldo...dovrei quindi aspettare le ultime settimane per organizzare un qualcosa.

Per ora mi guardo queste foto e prendo ispirazione!

In the meanwhile, my wedding preps continue...we are working on decorations, invitations, music, deciding our honeymoon, and many other things.
 Next February we'll start the premarriage classes in our church ( do you have something similar? I don't know), every Friday evening for 8 weeks.
GG has already choose the fabric for his tailored suit and he's waiting for the first fitting...and I choose mine...I don't want to reveal too much, but I can tell you what Laura told me that day: " Coco Chanel would be proud of you".
It's simple, elegant and it makes me feel like a princess...

Intanto i preparativi continuano...in questo periodo siamo al lavoro su decorazioni, inviti, musica, viaggio di nozze e tanti altri dettagli.
Da Febbraio inizieremo anche il corso prematrimoniale...tutti i Venerdì sera per 8 settimane...
GG è già stato dal sarto, ha scelto il tessuto del suo abito e deve solo aspettare la prima prova...io ho scelto il mio...non vorrei mostrarvi troppo, ma per capire un po' lo stile  posso dirvi cio' che Laura ha detto a me quando mi ha vista: "Coco Chanel sarebbe proprio fiera di te".
 E' semplice, elegante e mi fa sentire una principessa...

This is basically my dream house :)

I love the simplicity of it and the wooden floorboards.

It's shabby chic, but not to girly!

One of my life's biggest dreams is to find an old farmhouse and transform it. 

Maybe one day...who knows.

Dear Maria, please tell us when and why you decided to start your own online business?

I have dreamed of owning a shop for a long time.  I actually made the decision last spring to open an online shop after starting my blog.  I love going to flea markets and searching for french antiques.  Having an online shop, is a great way for me to share my finds with others.

Cara Maria, ti va di raccontarci quando e perchè hai deciso di aprire il tuo negozio online?

Ho sognato un negozio online tutto mio per molto tempo. La decisione vera e propria di aprirlo è stata presa la scorsa primavera, dopo aver aperto il mio blog.

Mi piace andare per mercatini alla ricerca di pezzi d'antiquariato francesi. Il negozio online è quindi il miglior modo per condividere con tutti le mie scoperte.

Have you collected in these years all those beautiful things in order to sell them?

I have collected antiques for almost 15 years now. I started collecting french antiques about ten years ago.  I have actually spent the last year going to flea markets and shopping specifically for the shop.

Nel corso di questi anni hai collezionato tutti questi splendidi oggetti con lo scopi di rivenderli in futuro?
Taccolgo oggetti d'antiquariato da quasi 15 anni, e da 10 anni quelli francesi in particolare.
Ma si, in effetti quest'ultimo anno l'ho trascorso in giro per mercatini alla ricerca di oggetti per il negozio online.

It was difficult to create the website and online store? 

I hired a website designer, named, Sara Duckett, Sadie Olive.
Sara is a lot of fun to work with, and is very good at creating a site based on a number of questions you have to fill out before the design process begins.
I think a lot of people think that it is expensive to have a website built, and really it isn't.

E' stato difficile creare il sito web ed il negozio online?

Mi sono affidata alla designer, Sara Ducket, del blog Sadie Olive.

E' stato divertentissimo lavorare insieme a lei, ed è stata davvero brava nel creare un sito web solo sulla base di una serie di domande che mi ha posto prima di iniziare il processo creativo.

Credo che molte persone pensino che realizzare un proprio sito web sia costoso, ma in realtà non lo è affatto.

 The last question is...do you ship internationally?

I do ship internationally.

L'ultima domande è...fai anche spedizioni internazionali?

Si, spedisco in tutto il mondo.

When Valentina from CUTandPASTE sent me her projects for our save the date cards, I immediately felt in love with this one in particular.

I love the invitations that involve fabrics and other elements, like those mini tags with our monogram. Lovely.

We were looking for something vintage & shabby inspired, and Valentina was able to immediately understand our style.

Quando ad Ottobre, Valentina di CUTandPASTE mi mandò i suoi progetti grafici per i nostri save the date mi innamorai immediatamente di questa proposta in particolare.

Amo gli inviti che includono diversi elementi, come il tessuto o come questi piccoli tag con le nostre iniziali. Davvero adorabili.

Stavamo cercando un qualcosa che rispecchiasse il nostro gusto, di ispirazione vintage&shabby, e Valentina ha saputo cogliere nel segno e capire perfettamente il nostro stile.
Parlo al plurale perchè, nonostante possa sembrare strano, anche Giangiacomo apprezza questo stile.

Valentina sewed all layers together, tags, invitation and linen (that I found in one of my fave store here in Bologna, Camera con Vista Fabrics). I added the final touch with our custom stamp.

Yes, two years ago I started this blog :)

It's incredible how Alessandra, all by herself, baked all these yummy cupacakes and the cake! She's an extraordinary cook as much as a talented wedding and event planner.
