Nights in NYC are always great, there's so much to do and see!

Thanks to my friend Dionne, GG and I found several nice places! One of them is the Serendipity3.

Have you seen the movie Serendipity?  This cafe is the place where the two main characters fall in love. So sweet.

Le notti a NYC sono sempre fantastiche si sa, ci sono tantissimi locali da vedere e tante cose da fare!

Grazie alla mia amica Dionne, GG ed io abbiamo scoperto diversi locali molto carini! Uno di questi è sicuramente il Serendipity3.

Avete visto per caso l'omonimo film Serendipity? Beh, questo cafè è proprio il posto in cui i due protagonisti si innamorano. 

The atmosphere is really romantic, but it's a good place even if you are a company of friends. As I told you before, the food it's not the best thing of this restaurant, but desserts is to die for! Especially their famous "Frozen Hot Chocolate." YUM!

L'atmosfera è molto romantica e ricercata, ma è un locale in cui si puo' tranquillamente andare anche in compagnia di amici e non necessariamente in due.
Come vi dicevo prima il cibo non è tra i migliori, ma i dolci sono fantastici e sono il loro punto forte! Noi abbiamo provato il loro famoso "Frozen Hot Chocolate."

The food in this restaurant is little bit over priced but for desserts i find this is one of the best place in NYC.
Usually the queue is long and you have to wait around 1 hour on weekday night, but GG and I were lucky and we found a table for two in 10min.
This place is not to be missed!

Il cibo è un po' costoso rispetto ai tipi di piatti offerti, ma sicuramente per i desserts è tra i migliori posti in città. Vi consiglio di farci un salto dopo cena e di portare pazienza, normalmente l'attesa è tanta, si arriva ad aspettare anche un'ora. GG ed io siamo stati fortunati ed abbiamo trovato un tavolo in pochi minuti.

E' cmq un posto in cui andare se siete in giro!

After a yummy dinner, at midnight we took a fast walk and then came back to our hotel.
Really a lovely night...

Dopo una gustosissima cena a base di dolci, abbiamo fatto una breve passaggiata per smaltire le calorie di troppo e ce ne siamo andati a nanna.
E' stata una serata davvero carina...

Probably, you have already saw it, but you know, it's always fine to see beautiful pics like these.

Lo stile cottage non mi stanca proprio mai. E' così luminoso e rilassante che non ha eguali.

Stavo navigando su internet quando mesi e mesi fa mi sono imbattuta nello splendido sito di Dave Coote.

Yesterday, we have been to the beach for a relaxing day of sun and sea.

Now, here some photos taken in Soho, one of New York City's most interesting neighborhoods.

As I told you, I have hundreds of photos, and they need lots of post.

Buongiorno a tutti, spero abbiate trascorso un buon weekend.

Io ieri sono andata al mare e mi sono rilassata al sole insieme al mio GG, un buon libro e una buona piadina romagnola. Voi cosa avete combinato?

Ma veniamo a noi, oggi vi mostro altre foto scattate a NY, e precisamente a Soho, uno dei quartieri più interessanti della città.

Come vi avevo detto, le foto da mostrarvi sono un bel po' e richiedono diversi post...

Soho is full of beautiful and quirky shops, art galleries and beautiful buildings.
It's a MUST SEE.
After a long walk and some shopping, at noon we decided to take a break and enjoy a lovely lunch.

We stopped at Le Pain Quotidien, a beautiful place where you can eat delicious plates with organic ingredients.

Everything is fresh and tastefully put together.

You can literally randomly pick anything off the menu and it will be amazing.

Soho è un quartiere vivo e pieno di cose da fare e vedere!
Le sue strade sono gremite di bei negozi, dalle catene internazionali, alle boutique più ricercate e particolari, gallerie d'arte, e ristorantini. Per non parlare dell'architettura dei suoi palazzi, quelli con le famose scale di emergenza in metallo che fanno tanto film anni '80!
E' sicuramente un must see di NY.

Dopo la nostra lunga passeggiata per le viuzze, abbiamo pero' deciso di prenderci una piccola pausa.

Così per l'ora di pranzo, ci siamo fermati a Le Pain Quotidien, un bel posticino dove mangiare buoni piatti semplici e gustosi.

Tutto è fresco e molto buono, potete scegliere a caso dal menù cosa mangiare e sicuramente sarà fantastico.

Even the atmosphere of this restaurants is beautiful and welcoming.

Service is great and we found very nice guys.

Infact, I have to say thanks to the guy in the photo, he showed me their bakery and explain me everything about their breads. Another girl, gave me some of the greatest vintage shop's adresses I ever saw in NY!

Anche l'atmosfera che si respira è fantastica. Il servizio è ottimo e loro sono davvero cortesi.

Un grazie al ragazzo che vedete in foto, per avermi mostrato il loro forno e per avermi raccontato tutta la storia del loro pane, facendomi vedere come viene preparato e spiegandomi per filo e per segno tutte le farine utilizzate. Un grazie anche ad un'altra cameriera che mi ha consigliato alcuni dei migliori negozi vintage della città.

Friends and strangers alike come together around their communal tables to linger for a while and taste good food.
Like all of their furniture, the communal tables are made from reclaimed wood, which means no trees were sacrificed for us to sit and unwind.

That's a good thing.

Amici ed anche sconosciuti si riuniscono intorno a questi grandi tavoli dove potersi godere tutti insieme un attimo di calma e del buon cibo.

Come tutti gli altri loro complementi d'arredo, anche i tavoli sono fatti di legno di recupero, cio' significa che nessun albero è stato abbattuto per farci sedere e rilassare.

Il che non è male direi...

Clouds, planes & hot air balloons ~ Leonardo B-Day

Leonardo is the wonderful little boy of my friend Laura, and few weeks ago he marks 2 years.

His mom is such a talented party planner, and for this special occasion, she organized a "flying" party theme for Lelo. He's fascinated with anything flying.

Leonardo, il meraviglioso piccolo ometto della mia amica Laura, ha compiuto 2 anni qualche settimana fa.

La sua mamma, che è un'esperta nell'organizzare fantastici party curati nei più minimi dettagli, ha studiato per questa occasione speciale una festa caratterizzata da aeroplanini e mongolfiere, due cose che affascinano Lelo.

I am a sucker for pretty stationary, greeting cards, and organizational items I purchase with the hope of one day organizing my home/office....hope to do it soon! 

If I could, I'd probably buy half the stuff! 

I found pretty tags, papers, baker twine, ribbons, labels, tapes and fantastic rubber stamps!

Tutti questi tipi di oggetti ed articoli di cancelleria mi fanno letteralmente impazzire, continuo ad acquistarne nella speranze di riuscire presto a riorganizzare il mio spazio di lavoro.

Se solo avessi potuto, avrei comprato mezzo negozio!

 Well, as usual, white is the most outstanding element of this space, and makes it fresh and bright.

 Beh, che dire, come sempre il bianco è l'elemento che più spicca in assoluto e che rende questo spazio fresco e luminoso.

In a total white space, every single object can tell its story, like a white page of a book.
Even stripes, from wallpapers to tapestries, make this space more welcoming.
I love them!

Nel bianco assoluto ogni singolo oggetto scelto risalta ancora di più e, come su una pagina bianca di un libro inizia a raccontare la propria storia.

E che dire delle righe? Dalla carta da parati alle tapezzerie, sono anch'esse protagoniste di questa casa e contribuiscono a creare uno spazio accogliente e decisamente estivo.

Difficilissimo scegliere cosa portare a casa....infatti ho costretto il povero GG a sopportarmi per ben 45 min di estasi totale dinnanzi a cotante meraviglie! :)

This store makes me happy! My eyes din't know where to look first... pretty color combinations, beautiful papers and cards lining the walls, and little cute and affordable gifts.  I mean, I could go on forever about all the awesome things in the store.

I will show you soon some of my purchases.

Honeymoon Postcards ~ Magnolia Bakery

Let's start a new week with a little sweetness...

We all know this famous New York's bakery, but not everyone has been lucky enough to taste one of their cakes and cupcakes.

They are delicious!

I can still feel that delicious taste in my mouth...

Iniziamo la nuova settimana in dolcezza...

tutte noi conosciamo questa famosa bakery di New York, ma sfortunatamente non proprio tutte hanno avuto la fortuna di assaggiare le loro torte ed i loro cupcakes.

Sono di una bontà e leggerezza infinita!

Riesco ancora a sentire in bocca quel meraviglioso sapore...

 Magnolia Bakery is not the only cupcake place in NYC, but it is definitely  the most popular.

I get into their famous shop in Bleecker St, and picked a couple of cupcakes: Vanilla and Devil's Food...hahaha the name say it all!

The shop is very tiny, but absolutely lovely with a pretty old-fashioned look and super kind people.

It was nice to exchange few words with one of them, the lovely girl in the picture above. She spoke italian and she was kind enough to explain me all their cakes and sweets.

Magnolia Bakery non è di certo l'unico posto a NYC dove trovare dei cupcakes, ma è sicuramente il più popolare.

Sono andata nel loro famoso e storico corner di Bleecker St. e mi sono presa due meravigliosi cupackes, uno alla vaniglia ed uno con un nome che la dice lunga, Devil's Food (cibo del diavolo!).....una goduria!

Il negozio è piccolino, ma carinissimo e con un look un po' vecchio stile. Gentilissimi anche loro!

E' stato bello scambiare due chiacchere con la ragazza che vedete nella foto qui sopra. Parlava bene l'italiano ed è stata così gentile da spiegarmi tutte le loro torte e dolcetti.

It wasn't my first time, infact it was my third time in NYC ( I am wondering when it will be the fourth time!), and every year I went to Magnolia Bakery beacuse I love their cupcakes!
They're absolutely wow!

Non era la prima volta che andavo, infatti è stata la mia terza volta a New York (mi chiedo quando arrivi la quarta!), ed ogni anno sono andata a mangiarmi uno dei loro cupcakes. Ne vado pazza! Anche se non sembra, posso assicurarvi che sono leggerissimi e per niente stomachevoli.

here some pics from our last holiday in NYC.

We decided to took a little break from the city and set up a picnic in Central Park.

oggi ancora un po' di foto scattate durante la nostra vacanza a NYC.

In una bella giornata di sole abbiamo pensato di organizzare un piccolo picnic a Central Park e goderci il parco per il resto del pomeriggio.

Enjoying a picnic in New York City is a wonderful way to experience Central Park!

So we took a stroll to the park and got some sandwiches and salads from Whole Foods.

Un ottimo modo per godersi in tranquillità una bella giornata di sole a  New York è anche quello di trascorrere un po' di tempo a Central Park! Proprio per questo motivo abbiamo deciso di prenderci dei panini e delle insalate da Whole Foods e rilassarci al parco.

After lunch, we took an ice cream and enjoyed a baseball game.

Dopo pranzo, ci siamo presi un gelato e ci siamo guardati una partita di baseball.

And then, we decided to go row boating! We had been talking about boating in central park since our first trip five years ago.

Finally, we did it!

Più tardi nel pomeriggio, abbiamo deciso di prenderci la barchetta e farci un giro nel laghetto! Era da tanto tempo che ci sarebbe piaciuto farlo, fin dal primo viaggio a NY 5 anni fa.

Finalmente ci siamo riusciti!

It was a really fun experience, that was inexpensive and easily accessible. I would recommend it to everybody!

Magic hours ~ The first month together

  It' amazing, it's already a month!

Yes, today we mark our first month as husband and wife, and since I still can't post our wedding photos, I though to share some pics that I took the morning of May 14, before my home was assaulted by relatives and friends.

E' incredibile come il tempo passi in fretta!
Oggi 14 Giugno, io e GG festeggiamo il primo mese come marito e moglie!
Dato che al momento non riesco ancora a mostrarvi le foto del grande giorno, ho pensato di condividerne alcune che ho scattato la mattina del 14 Maggio prima che la mia casa venisse assalita da parenti e amici.

The night before, my friends organized a bridal shower for me...such a beautiful surprise party! They're sooo sweet....
That night mom slept with me, but in the early morning of Saturday 14, she came back her home for few hours and I had the chance to stay alone for 2 hours...sometimes we need to stay by ourself.

Come ormai sapete, la sera prima le mie dolcissime amiche mi avevano organizzato una splendida festa a sorpresa! Quante emozioni!
Quella stessa notte, mamma ha dormito con me nel lettone, ma la mattina del Sabato è tornata a casa qualche ora per sistemarsi e prendere tutte le sue cosine.
Ho avuto quindi due orette di calma e pace in cui starmene un po' da sola...ogni tanto ci vuole.

It was like being inside a dream, like another dimension...

My legs begin to tremble as the time approaches...I remember those moments so sweetly.

 It's true that waiting is one of the most magic moment...

Non ero agitata, ma mi sembrava di essere dentro un sogno, come in un'altra dimensione...e non credo dipendesse soltanto dalle ore piccole fatte la sera prima! :)
L'emozione era tanta e man mano che si avvicinavano le 16:30, le gambe iniziavano a tremare...ricordo con tanta dolcezza quelle ore.
E' proprio vero che l'attesa è uno dei momenti più magici...
